The Congregation of Apostolic Carmel, was
founded in the year 1868, by Mother Veronica, a
French Nun of English Origin.
The Apostolic Carmelites have 160 branches
worldwide, under six provinces, out of which
five are in India. The Karnataka Province alone
has over 60 educational institutions, and is one
among the pioneers in Women education from
Kindergarten to Professional Degree levels in
South India.
