The Four year M.D program offered by SLU is considered as the basic medical education by the Philippines government. Qualification for admission for the program requires a graduation or equivalent degree in Biology. However students with Plus Two or Higher Secondary education are provided with a special one year and four months BS Biology course ( which is also called Pre-Medicine course) by the University, to fulfill the qualification requirement. The students after their succesful completion of the course are awarded with a Bachelors degree.

Our first batch of students commenced their Special BS Biology program in the month of Nov 2007 and they have completed the first trimester terminal examination. Our students passed the examination with flying colours. We had a pass percentage of 81% pass percentage. The students are, at present, undergoing their second trimester.

CLASSES

The Classes for the students consist of both Theory and Practicals, which commence from 9 A.M till 5.30 P.M. The students have assignment preparation, group activities and group practical work and have continuous assessement. The present batch has adapted well to the SLUICM manner of teaching and now learning is their primary activity.
